learn Dr Maxwell Maltz technique from the classic bestseller “Psycho-Cybernetics…

So this morning to start the day with my personal routine I tapped into this classic book I have not read for a while, it was the first book in the personal development topic I had ever brought. What I found really interesting is the author’s command of psychology and the in-depth resource he uses to teach us of the depths of our Psyche (soul if you like).

As most people know the sub-conscience is a powerful mechanism and one which can work for or against us and He shows us how we can tap into its mechanics with what he calls the “Servo-Mechanism”.

This is in chapter 6 of the book which He opens up with “Relax and let your success mechanism work for you”…

He begins to talk about how modern man is under a lot of stress as He tries to solve most of his problems with his conscious thought. Because modern man depends almost entirely on his forebrain he becomes too anxious and fearful of results.

You see we use the forebrain to gather information, make observations evaluate incoming data and problems. But the forebrain cannot create. Of course, this serves us when we are setting goals or strategising a campaign. But when once you have made the decision and you begin execution unclamp your self from this thinking let not the care become worried of the outcome as this blocks you from flowing organically and letting your sub-conscience servo mechanism kick into action…

The secret to creative thinking and doing…

So many creatives writers and inventors talk about how it just comes to them, Well this is that servo-mechanism so to speak in operation. They let go of their forebrain and get lost and submerged into the deeper part of their being in the realm of the sub-conscience and they let their creativity flow from having set it by the forebrain into action…

Bertrand Russell the Philosophy famously talked about thinking intensely about something and then going underground only to return later to it with conscious thought to find the work had been done. His sub-conscience servo mechanism had been at work digesting the information and forming in to order, like the best personal assistant, it’s just knowing how to harness their potential…

Get out of your way and flow in creative action…

So don’t jam your creative machinery, Like if a person is too conscious of the social interactions and body movement trying to calculate responses and being to consciously concerned, this makes them awkward. If then once they let go the person can move in spontaneous action and reaction and “be themselves” the servo mechanism will drive forwards.

So let go once you have let your self formulate a plan of action or learnt a new skill or topic and let your servo mechanism kick into action…

Just wanted to touch on that one technique as really interested me and it is such an amazing tool to harness and really use our “software” to serve our purpose and unlock success in any endeavour…

Like with setting up an online business and being a digital entrepreneur, You learn the formula, framework and the flow of productivity and get out the way and let your creative genius take the driving seat…

I will check back in blog posts to come about more techniques from this book and do a final book review roundup…
